Jill Pumpelly's "A Faintly Whispered Lullaby" is an interperitation of the artists surroundings and feelings through abstract forms. Each composition develops organically and is inspired by human nature and the ways in which we perceive ourselves and the world around us. Through the painting process, layers of paint are applied allowing traces of previous layers to remain visible so the colors can react with one another until a particular balance, depth, and feeling is present.
