Most of our design services begin with an in-home design consultation, where we take the time to get acquainted with you and your needs and desires for your project. The initial in-home consultation meeting lasts for up to two hours. We will take a tour of the spaces to be decorated or renovated and any other spaces that might be relevant to your design plan, we discuss your needs, your vision, budget, time frame and expectations and make recommendations for improving the space. This is a working appointment where we provide you with valuable information, tips, advice, resources, and a solid direction for your design project.
We will also review our mission statement, our design process, and the terms of our Letter of Agreement
We will email you our Design Fee Proposal within 1-3 business days, outlining the scope of work, our design fee to complete the work and the non-refundable advance on our design fee that is required to get started. Please note that the Design Fee Proposal is not a design plan for your project. It is the document that outlines the project scope, goals, design intent, fees and terms and conditions.
Upon approval of the Design Fee Proposal, we will coordinate and meet in your home for an on-site measure with all the trade partners and contractors who will be involved in your project. We will then meet again in a few weeks for the Design Presentation for the entire project. This Design Presentation is where we illustrate our full design plan and solutions for your home, along with the budget breakdown. After final approval, we require that you sign the letter of agreement and pay the deposit required to begin the purchasing phase of your project. See the How We Work page for more details
