The effects of hurricane Harvey is nothing short of devastating. Many Houston families lost everything and have been displaced with no idea how to get back on their feet
It was amazing to witness the rescue efforts - men and women who were out there risking their lives to save others!
It is in this spirit of neighbors helping neighbors that we want to do our part to help a Houston family or two get back on their feet
As residents of West Houston for over 12 years, we have been very active in our community through our charitable giving to The Houston Furniture Bank Divas, and our church at Westland Baptist, and a year ago founding The Solomon Project Pregnancy Ministry, which helps at-risk pregnant moms provide a safe and nurturing environment for their new born (Learn More Here).
We take our charge to pay it forward and give back to our community very seriously, but we need your help to do that!
Doing what we do best - designing spaces for families to create beautiful memories in for years to come, we will be helping one low income Houston family affected by hurricane Harvey rebuild their dreams, their home, and their life.
We will be collecting CASH, and GENTLY USED FURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, and CLOTHING for a family in need. We will provide FREE design services after the clean up, for a beautiful and functional space. We will donate items that we have on hand, but we will need much more

My heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by hurricane Harvey. I continue to pray for recovery and God's guidance during this difficult time.
I hadn't been that anxious in a long time. Watching the water levels continue to rise with every drop of rain, scared me to no end. My whole life flashed before me. How would I be able to start over if I lost everything? Thankfully, my home, business and offsite storage spaces were spared, and I am forever grateful for that miracle.
I cannot imagine what folks who lost loved ones, and lost everything must be feeling. All I know is that my life and possessions were spared for a reason, and I feel a strong sense of responsibility to give back to my beloved community of Houston.
Using my God-given skills and talents, and the resources He has blessed me with, I will help my community rebuild - one family at a time. I am calling on you for help and support. Please donate whatever you can - cash, gently used furniture and household items, clothing, skills and man-power. There is much to be done, and we want to help folks get back into their homes and back to their lives as quickly as possible.
You can also help by hiring Casa Vilora Interiors for your design services. Maybe you were also affected but on a much smaller scale. We are discounting our design service offerings to help other families who have the means to start rebuilding.
